* The King--Cal Lutheran University will present its 12th annual “Tribute to the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll” Jan. 29 at Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd. The benefit features longtime Elvis impersonator Raymond Michael and the 24-member CLU All-Star Alumni Band and Backup Singers. * Battle Royal--Thousand Oaks Teen Center, celebrating its 10th anniversary, will host a Battle of the Bands competition Jan. 29. The competition is open to all Ventura County high school bands, although only five will be chosen to compete. The concert will be judged by professionals from the music industry. * Family--Musician-storyteller Jennifer Armstrong will perform an installment of the Performances to Grow On series Jan. 30 at Oak Grove Pavilion, 220 W. Lomita St., Ojai.
