Cal State Fullerton 54, Boise State 52--Kenroy Jarrett, a senior point guard, made a 17-foot jump shot along the base line with one second left to give the Titans (6-8, 1-2 in the Big West Conference) the victory over the Broncos (6-8, 0-3) at Fullerton.

Last season, a Jarrett shot glanced off the rim at the buzzer at Boise State, and the Broncos escaped with a one-point victory. This time, Jarrett rebounded a missed Boise State shot, dribbled quickly downcourt and lofted a high-arching shot for the basket that ended a losing streak at three for Fullerton. It was the Titans’ fifth consecutive victory at home.

It was the third consecutive regular-season game between the teams decided in the final seconds. Roberto Bergersen made a shot at the buzzer two seasons ago to give Boise State a two-point victory in Titan Gym, then made two free throws with six seconds left for the victory margin last season.
