SOUTHLAND ROUNDUP
Cal State Fullerton 82, Idaho 74--The Titans (7-8, 2-2 in the Big West Conference)--helped by an intentional foul and a technical against the Vandals (7-9, 1-3)--scored six points in a 22-second span late in the game at Fullerton to stretch their home-court win streak to six.
The game turned with slightly more than five minutes left when Fullerton’s Brandon Campbell was knocked down from behind by Idaho’s Gordon Scott after Campbell broke away on a fast break.
Campbell made both free throws, and Idaho Coach David Farrar was called for a technical when he went on the floor to protest the call during the timeout the followed. That set up two more free throws by Mark Murphy before Ike Harmon scored after an in-bounds play to give Fullerton a nine-point lead.
The Titans had five double-figure scorers, led by Campbell with 19 points.
