The Super Bowl is clearly not real football in Australia, as is the Ansett Cup footy (Australian Rules) competition going on right now that is getting huge headlines. The big one Saturday night was the Western Bulldogs’ total domination of the Hawthorn Hawks during a constant downpour. Final score: 85-38.

Still, there’s the law of averages that says there’s bound to be a cracker every few years. So we wait in hopeful anticipation of a bonecrunching Hawthorn vs. Geelong 1989 style epic between this year’s combatants.”
