* Swinging Years--The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum will continue its Summer Concert Series on July 15 with the seven-piece Sweetest Dixieland Band. Hours: noon-3 p.m. The museum is at 40 Presidential Drive, Simi Valley. Concert admission is free. (800) 410-8354.

* Fund-Raiser--The 2000 edition of “La Fiesta del Triunfo,” an annual benefit for the Stagecoach Inn Museum in Newbury Park, will be held July 15 at David Murdock’s Ventura Farms in Thousand Oaks. The event will begin at 5 p.m. Western attire is suggested. There will be a drawing, Southwestern buffet by Command Performance, equestrian presentation and tour of the paddocks. Music will be provided by Los Romanticos. Tickets are $85. Reservations are required before Monday. 495-8317 or 495-8774.

* String Work--Cal Lutheran University’s Summer String Institute will return to the campus next week. The first installment will run July 17-21 and offer an “Introduction to String Instrument Repair,” taught by violin maker Boyd Poulsen. Participants will learn the basics of violin repair and maintenance. Other classes include violin building, July 24-Aug. 4, also taught by Poulsen, and basic bow making, Aug. 7-18, instructed by master craftswoman Lynn Armour Hannings.
