The city’s first youth advisor to the Planning Commission will no longer have to explain the principles behind a conditional use permit to the blank stares of her classmates.
On Tuesday, 18-year-old Kelly Nakagawa was presented with “City Resolution PC300-30”--Brea-speak for “thank you.”
Planning commissioners gave Nakagawa a commendation for her pioneering efforts as the city’s first youth planning commissioner, a volunteer post she served in for eight months.
