Garden Grove Fire Displaces 14
A fire damaged four Garden Grove apartments early Saturday morning, leaving more than a dozen people temporarily homeless, fire officials said.
Investigators don’t know what started the fire in the eight-unit complex. At about 2:30 a.m. firefighters found the bottom units of the building at 10812 Palma Vista St. engulfed in flames. They extinguished the fire in about 10 minutes.
Fire officials estimated that the building sustained $50,000 in structural damage; personal property loss was estimated at $10,000. The Southland division of the American Red Cross put 14 people in hotels, officials said.
