Man Critically Hurt in Street Shooting

LYNWOOD — A man was near death after he was shot early Monday morning, authorities said.
The shooting occurred at 2 a.m. at Atlantic Avenue and Abbott Road, said Sgt. Bob Killeen of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Paramedics took the victim to a hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, Killeen said.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was not immediately identified.
Sheriff’s homicide detectives were investigating the shooting.
