SANTA PAULA — Four Ventura County residents were arrested this week during a raid of a Santa Paula home where police recovered more than $18,000 in cash and two ounces of heroin valued at about $5,000, authorities said.
Detectives searched a home in the 100 block of Davis Street after a monthlong investigation, during which undercover officers purchased heroin several times from two of the suspects, authorities said.
The search and arrests were carried out about 7:15 p.m. Wednesday by the Ventura County Sheriff’s and Ventura Police departments’ narcotics team.
Marina Fuentes, 37, and Jaime Gonzalez, 30, both of Santa Paula, were arrested on suspicion of selling heroin. Arturo Gama, 21, and Jose Luis Nunez, 29, both of Oxnard, were arrested on suspicion of selling and transporting heroin.
The two ounces of heroin was found in Gama’s possession, authorities said.
Bail for the four was set at $50,000 each.
