The Indiegrrl Showcase, featuring six Los Angeles female songwriters, comes tonight to Exile Books and Music, 14925 Magnolia Blvd., Sherman Oaks. Lisa Johnson, Mare Lennon, Robin Pearl, Amilia k. Spicer, Sue Willet and Kelly Zirbes with her band Kelly’s Lot are scheduled to perform.

Indiegrrl, founded in 1998 by Seattle musician Holly Figueroa, is an Internet forum for independent women music artists. Indiegrrl has more than 500 members nationwide, mostly female solo performers and bands with at least one female member. Tickets are $5 for the 8 p.m. show.

The New Short Fiction Series, billed as “L.A.’s only live literary magazine,” presents “Common Criminals: L.A.
