Erickson to Make Debut Tonight
The Baltimore Orioles activated Scott Erickson on Thursday and handed him an imposing opening assignment: The right-hander, who was on the disabled list because of an elbow injury, will make his season debut tonight against the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium.
Erickson had bone chips removed from his right elbow on March 3. His only action this year came in two rehabilitation assignments in the minor leagues.
To make room for Erickson, the Orioles optioned reliever Gabe Molina to triple-A Rochester.
