Dogs Invited to Join Fund-Raiser for Animals

Concerned People for Animals will hold its sixth annual Dorothy Done Memorial Walkathon at 11 a.m. today, beginning at the Ventura Beach Promenade next to the Holiday Inn. Self-Guided Tour Features Camarillo Gardens

Camarillo Hospice will hold its fourth annual garden tour from 1 to 5 p.m. today at various locations in Camarillo. The self-guided garden tour will feature six gardens, gardening demonstrations, free refreshments, floral art and boutique items on sale. All proceeds will benefit Camarillo Hospice, a nonprofit organization that provides free care for individuals facing a life-threatening illness. Tickets are $12. Church Plans Dinner for Children’s Center

St. Columba’s Episcopal Church Children’s Learning Center will host a fund-raising dinner and silent auction from 4 to 7 p.m. today at 1251 Las Posas Road, Camarillo. Tickets are $6 for adults, $4 for children. All proceeds will go toward classroom furniture and supplies. Orientation for Family Services Volunteers

Interface Children Family Services will hold an orientation from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Interface’s office, 1305 Del Norte Road, Suite 130, Camarillo. Volunteers are needed to assist in many areas, including office work, crisis counseling, intervention with troubled youth, youth mentoring, mediation services, training for families and working with abused children. Cyclists Will Raise Money for Boy Scouts

Conejo Valley Cyclists will hold its 16th annual “Cruisin’ the Conejo for the Millennium” bike ride with registration beginning at 6:30 a.m. Saturday at the parking lot at 2504 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks. There will be three ride options, from about 34 miles to more than 100. The ride is a fund-raiser for Boy Scout Troop 753 and other charities. Indian Dance Event to Benefit AIDS Group

Beyond AIDS Foundation will hold a fund-raising Indian dance at 3 p.m. on May 14 at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd. The “Bharatanatyam” ancient Indian dance form will be performed by Neena Ananda with a live orchestra. Tickets range from $15 to $100. Golf Tournament for Hospice of the Conejo

Sunset Hills Country Club will host its 14th annual Hospice of the Conejo Charity Golf Tournament on May 19 at the club, 4155 Erbes Road, Thousand Oaks. The tournament format is a Texas scramble with four-person teams. Registration, which will begin at 11 a.m., will include a barbecue lunch, an awards banquet and prizes for holes-in-one, longest drive and closest to the pin. The entry fee is $125 each. Pancake Breakfast to Aid Job Search Program

Lutheran Social Services will host an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on May 20 at United Methodist Church, 1000 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks. All proceeds will benefit the Reemployment Assistance Program, which provides employment search assistance. The goal of the program is to help people achieve self-sufficiency. 2.5-Mile Walk to Help Crisis Pregnancy Center

Conejo Valley Crisis Pregnancy Center will hold its annual Walk for Life Walkathon from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 20 at Conejo Creek Park, 1379 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks. The walk is 2.5 miles long and prizes will be awarded, including for the most pledges. The day will feature clowns, dunk tanks, face painting, a moon bounce, games and activities. Golf Event to Assist Girls’ Fast-Pitch Softball

Girls’ fast-pitch softball inaugural charity golf tournament will begin with registration at 11:30 a.m. May 22 at Wood Ranch Golf Club, 301 N. Wood Ranch Parkway, Simi Valley. A shotgun start will be at 1:30 p.m. and a live auction, dinner, raffle and awards banquet will follow the event. Entry fee includes use of a golf cart, dinner and an awards ceremony.
