Ehardt Fullerton’s Choice For Women’s Basketball
Barbara Ehardt, a former Washington State assistant, is expected to be hired as Cal State Fullerton’s women’s basketball coach later this week, sources said Tuesday.
Ehardt, 36, was out of coaching last year. She was an assistant at Brigham Young for two years before moving to Washington State for two seasons. She also was an assistant at UC Santa Barbara for seven years.
Reached by phone Tuesday night, Ehardt declined to comment. But earlier in the day, Curt Miller, the associate head coach at Colorado State, said he had been informed by a member of the search committee that he would not be offered the job.
Tina Krah, an assistant at Fullerton last season under head coach Denise Curry, also was interviewed for the job. Krah could not be reached for comment.
Curry’s contract was not renewed after the Titans finished 2-25 and won only one Big West Conference game last season.
