4.2 Quake Rattles Mendocino County
A magnitude 4.2 earthquake shook a rural area of Northern California on Wednesday afternoon 18 miles northeast of the Mendocino County seat of Ukiah, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
No damage or injuries occurred in the moderate 3:32 p.m. temblor, which was followed by five lesser aftershocks over the next three hours.
