Davis Love III is back on top of the leaderboard, not unfamiliar territory even though he has not won in 47 tournaments.

With an up-and-down four-under 66 Friday, Love moved to seven under for a two-stroke lead during the second round of the Colonial, which was twice suspended because of rain and lightning at Fort Worth.

Play never resumed after the second suspension, which came with half the remaining 106 players in the field on the course. The second round will be completed this morning before the cut is made for the third round.

“I feel like I’m very close to playing great,” said Love, a 13-time winner on the PGA Tour.

Phil Mickelson had a 68 to share second place with Rocco Mediate, Mike Weir and Greg Kraft.

Kraft, who has never won in nine seasons on the PGA Tour, got to seven under with a 15-foot birdie putt on the 433-yard 12th hole. His downfall was also a double-bogey, this one at the 178-yard, par-three 13th after his seven-iron shot hit the bank and rolled into the water.

Suffering bogeys at the 16th and 18th holes, Tiger Woods was thwarted in his pursuit of Miguel Angel Jimenez of Spain during the second round of the Deutsche Bank Open at Alveslohe, Germany.

Jimenez leads by two strokes midway through the tournament with an eight-under 136.

Woods finished with a two-under 70, leaving him four shots back.

Jimenez shot a three-under 69 to keep his first-round lead. Paul McGinley of Ireland shot a 65 and Emanuele Canonica of Italy shot a 68, to move two shots back.

Jim Colbert birdied the first eight holes on the back nine en route to a course-record 61 and the first-round lead in the TD Waterhouse Championship at Kansas City, Mo.

Colbert, a Kansas City native and two-time winner of this Senior PGA Tour event, missed a 12-foot birdie putt on No. 18.

During his birdie spree on the back nine, Colbert made only one lengthy putt--a 25-footer on the par-four 12th.

Tom Jenkins and Dana Quigley each shot 65s.

Picking up where she left off a year ago, Mi Hyun Kim matched the course record with a nine-under 63 for a two-shot lead over Karrie Webb after the opening round of the Firstar LPGA Classic at Beavercreek, Ohio.

Annika Sorenstam of Sweden and Brandie Burton shared third place at 66.
