Rocker Tommy Lee Released After 5 Days in Jail
Rock musician Tommy Lee was released from jail Tuesday after serving a five-day sentence for violating terms of his probation by drinking alcohol.
The incident occurred while Lee and his estranged wife Pamela Anderson Lee celebrated the new year. His probation stems from a 1998 case in which he pleaded no contest to a domestic violence charge.
In court last Friday, a Malibu judge extended Lee’s probation until May 26, 2003, reinstated random drug testing and ordered him to enroll in Alcoholics Anonymous.
On Tuesday, Judge Lawrence Mira ordered Lee back to court Sept. 5 for a progress report.
