No. 18 Wake Forest Wins by 47

Wake Forest unveiled an arsenal of athletic and speedy players in the opening round of the Black Coaches Assn. Classic and defeated Mount St. Mary’s, 108-61, at Winston Salem, N.C. The Deamon Deacons, ranked No. 18, will play Air Force, which beat Houston, 59-53, in tonight’s title game.

Minnesota agreed to mediate the lawsuit filed against former Coach Clem Haskins to recover much of the $1.5 million it paid him last year to buy out his contract, the Star Tribune of Minneapolis reported. Under terms of the deal, the sides will try to agree on a mediator by Nov. 29. If that fails, a judge will appoint one.
