Kapono’s Nose Not Broken

UCLA forward Jason Kapono, the Bruins’ leading scorer, returned to practice Thursday after X-rays showed his nose is not broken.
Kapono left Wednesday’s exhibition game after six minutes, complaining that he was “dazed” after a collision in which he was elbowed in the nose. The X-rays were precautionary, and Kapono is expected to play Tuesday, when the 14th-ranked Bruins (1-1) resume the regular season against Cal State Northridge.
