Exon, Fermin, Ivey Advance in USTA Event
Elizabeth Exon of Irvine, Serena Fermin of Yorba Linda and Erin Ivey of Aliso Niguel were among the players who advanced to the quarterfinals in the USTA Girls’ 16 Championships Friday at the Costa Mesa Tennis Center.
Exon defeated Kim Tan (Garden Grove), 6-1, 6-3. She will face Ivey today. Ivey defeated Vanessa Dunlap (Newport Beach), 6-2, 6-4.
Fermin defeated Yu Yu Myinttun (Los Angeles), 6-2, 6-4. She will face Meghan Wolfgram (Granite Bay) today.
