Sponsors of the Tustin Festival of Authors are calling on schoolchildren to design this year’s festival bookmark. The bookmarks will be distributed at the library and at school media centers to promote the festival of authors in late November. This year’s theme is “Plant a seed . . . READ!”

The contest is open to students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Rules and forms are available at Tustin Unified schools, and designs must be submitted to each school’s library media technician. The deadline is Oct. 13. Information: (714) 730-7398.
