Thirteen students at Fullerton Union High School have been named Advanced Placement scholars by the College Board in recognition of their achievement on the college level AP examinations.

Two students qualified for the AP Scholar With Distinction Award by keeping a grade point average of at least 3.5 on all exams. Four students qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning a 3.25 GPA, and seven students earned the AP Scholar Award by completing three or more examinations with scores of 3.0 or higher.

Only about 13% of more than 700,000 students who took the AP examinations in May performed at a level high enough to merit the recognition.
