GAME OF THE WEEK

ST. LOUIS at KINGS

When--Wednesday. Time--7:30 p.m.

TV--Fox Sports Net/ESPN2

* Story line--Asked in the spring about his chances at the Norris Trophy before the awards show, King captain Rob Blake shook his head and said that the St. Louis Blues’ Chris Pronger not only deserved the Norris, he was also the NHL’s most valuable player. The two meet in the first of what should be four struggles between them this season. Both are big (about 6 feet 4, 220 pounds), strong defensemen who are good skaters and team leaders, and the results of their matchup could help their agents in negotiations as to who gets the bigger contract next summer.
