Quarterback Ryan McCann, who has practiced lightly because of a sore right shoulder, got the results of a MRI exam Thursday.

The exam revealed the a partially torn labrum is causing the pain. Bruin spokesman Marc Dellins said McCann can play with the injury if he so desires. After the season McCann would have to decide whether to seek other treatment such as surgery.

Coach Bob Toledo said McCann--who wants to get a second opinion--will travel with the team to Berkeley for Saturday’s game against California. He will be the third quarterback behind Cory Paus and Scott McEwan.
