Share

Sheriff’s deputies checking on a possible parole violation noticed smoke rising from a Palmdale home and stumbled upon a methamphetamine lab, authorities said.

They summoned firefighters, who arrived shortly after 1 p.m. at a house in the 9800 block of East Avenue Q-4.

After firefighters cleared the area, a hazardous-materials team began sifting through the makeshift lab, said Mike Brown, a Los Angeles County fire inspector.
