Man, 36, Dies After Being Shot at Home
In what police said was a possible gang-related shooting, a man was gunned down at his residence and died Thursday morning at a hospital.
Russell Burns, 36, was shot in the chest at about 9 p.m. Wednesday in the 4000 block of Cortland Street, said Deputy Edward Ramirez, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesman. A high-caliber semiautomatic rifle was possibly used as the weapon, Ramirez said.
Burns was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died at 2 a.m. Thursday, Ramirez said.
No suspects have been arrested.
