Florida State quarterback Chris Weinke sat out practice for the second day in a row because of a sore left ankle.

Weinke, who injured the ankle in a 59-7 victory over Maryland on Sept. 28, was expected to practice today when the sixth-ranked Seminoles plan a two-hour practice to prepare for Saturday’s game at North Carolina State. Backup quarterback Marcus Outzen has been taking snaps during practice in case Weinke is unable to play.
