University to Mark 41st Anniversary
Cal Lutheran University will celebrate its 41st anniversary at 8 tonight with a concert at Samuelson Chapel.
The concert will celebrate the life of composer Johann Sebastian Bach, a German Lutheran, on the 250th anniversary of his death and American composer Aaron Copland on the 100th anniversary of his birth.
The University Choral Ensembles and the University Symphony will perform works by Richard Wagner, Franz Joseph Haydn, Michael Haydn, Knut Nystedt, Sarah Hopkins and others.
The concert is free and open to the public, but donations are welcome. The university is at 60 W. Olsen Road.
