Opening day for the Brea Skate Park has been delayed again. City officials had thought that the park would open Sept. 16, after the contractor decided to dig up and repour the concrete in a course called the Snake Run.
But Green Giant Landscaping has decided to redo the Snake Run again, after determining that the course still was not smooth enough, city spokeswoman Chris Reimer said. She said the run needs to be very smooth so it won’t pose a safety hazard for skateboarders.
A new completion date for the $200,000 skate park, first set to open last spring, has not been set.
