Saugus 41, Simi Valley 0--Defensive back Dusty Titzel scored two touchdowns on blocked punts in the first half at Simi Valley, returning one 21 yards and recovering the other in the end zone.
Chris Ahlheim completed eight of 12 for 153 yards, including a 48-yard touchdown pass to Tim Carter in the third quarter that gave Saugus (1-1) a 28-0 lead. Carter had three receptions for 67 yards.
Jared DePaiva rushed for 37 yards in six carries, including a 16-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.
Simi Valley (0-2) gained only 41 yards, all on the ground. Quarterback Jimmy Brodaric was 0 for 4 passing with an interception. James Skor had 35 yards in 11 carries.
