Midtown Art Feast Scheduled Today
Midtown artists will show off their best work at the third annual Midtown Art Feast today.
The event, sponsored by the Midtown Ventura Community Council, will showcase local art and include a walking tour of homes in the midtown Ventura area.
The Art Feast runs from noon until 6 p.m., in front of Ventura County Christian High School at 65 MacMillan Ave.
The street will be blocked off to traffic so artists and vendors can display and sell their works. Entertainment, which will include music from northern India, Irish dancing, fiddling and hula, begins at 2:30 p.m.
A barbecue will run from 4 to 6 p.m. The event is free, but tickets are required for the barbecue.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, and family passes are $25.
The event is a fund-raiser for the council and enables the group to continue meeting and to publish its newsletter.
