Vose Leads Chaminade to Rout Over Alemany

Erik Vose completed 14 of 28 passes for 221 yards and four touchdowns, all to Josh Jones, and ran for another score to power Chaminade High to a 42-21 nonleague victory over Alemany on Friday night at Chaminade.

The Eagles (2-1) converted four turnovers into touchdowns in the last 2:28 of the first half. The Indians finished with nine turnovers, five in the first half.

Vose connected with Jones on touchdown passes of 14, 17, 17, and seven yards to give Chaminade a 28-0 halftime lead.

Jones finished with nine catches for 166 yards, all in the first half.

The Eagles extended their lead to 42-0 with 8:48 remaining in the third quarter. They scored on runs of 89 yards by Chris Abichaker and 10 yards by Vose.

Brian Borreson converted all six extra points but missed three field-goal attempts.

Alemany (1-2) was led by tailback De’Andre Scott, who rushed for 173 yards in 25 carries, including scoring runs of 79 and one yard. Scott lost two fumbles. The Indians lost four fumbles and had five passes intercepted.

Chaminade finished with 406 total yards. Alemany had 332 total yards, 301 on the ground.
