The “L.A. Celebrates Australian Photography” exposition will begin next month in six galleries throughout Los Angeles.

The first exhibit to launch is that of Michael Corridore, whose images of contemporary Cuba will be featured in “Cuba Libre,” opening at Boccalero Gallery on Oct. 1.

Andrew Dunbar’s images from his award-winning book “Body Piercing” will be shown alongside his black-and-white Los Angeles-inspired nudes at David Aden Gallery in Venice.

The Laboratory and private dealer George Neykov from the Image Room will show an exhibit by Jason Rogers, whose works include spray-painted road kill and other animals from the Australian outback.

Lastly, photos from the National Archives of Australia will be shown at the Perfect Exposure Gallery. Featured will be 1935 photographs from Papua New Guinea and portraits of Australian Aborigines from 1873 by John William Lindt.
