Gooden, who intercepted three passes in the Vikings’ 27-10 victory Friday at Hawthorne, might not have seen his performance coming if he didn’t have a new pair of prescription goggles.
“My vision isn’t very good, and they helped me a lot,” Gooden said.
“I think they were trying to pick on me a little bit, but I got them back. I’ll be using goggles the rest of the season now.”
Gooden also made an interception--sans goggles--against Huntington Beach in the second game.
