Southern California’s average gasoline price jumped nine cents a gallon in the last month to $1.78 for a gallon of self-serve regular unleaded. Prices have soared 18 cents a gallon since mid-February, according to the Automobile Club of Southern California’s monthly fuel gauge report, based on data from 2,800 Southern California gas stations.
