Pincay Rides Four Winners
Laffit Pincay didn’t ride the winner of the opening-night stake, but he still made an impact Friday night at Hollywood Park, winning four of the first eight races on the nine-race program as the track launched its 66-day season.
Pincay clicked with Vaquero in the second race, Bolchina’s Prize in the third, Southerly Flow in the fourth and Retired Habit in the eighth.
Pincay, 54, finished off the board with the 9-1 Imperial Measure in the $100,000 Will Rogers Stakes, which ended up in a dead heat for the win involving Media Mogul and Dr. Park.
A crowd of 23,600 turned out on a cool, rainy evening. The stake was run in driving rain. This was Hollywood Park’s only nighttime card of the meet.
