Georgia’s Storm, who won two stakes at Hollywood Park, will try for her fourth win in five starts against seven other 2-year-old fillies in the $150,000 Sorrento Stakes at 6 1/2 furlongs.

Owned by Reinaldo Martinez and trained by Eduardo Inda, Georgia’s Storm won her debut at two furlongs, was second to Fertile in the Nursery Stakes, then won the Cinderella and Landaluce in succession. She is the 2-1 second choice on Jeff Tufts’ morning line.

The 8-5 favorite is Tempera, an A.P. Indy filly who was impressive breaking her maiden in her second career start for Godolphin Racing and trainer Eoin Harty. She drew the outside post and will be ridden by David Flores.

Female trainers will be trying to extend their stretch of success in the $134,500 Vessels Maturity tonight at Los Alamitos.

Donna McArthur, Connie Hall and Kelly Lewis each will have a leading contender in the 400-yard feature race.

Hall will send A Ransom, the winner of seven consecutive races, to the gate. McArthur will have Corona Kool in the race and Lewis will start Rojo Dancer, a strong second to A Ransom in a race June 20.

A Ransom has not lost in more than 18 months and won last year’s Vessels Maturity. Corona Kool is unbeaten in three starts this year.

The winner of the Vessel Maturity will earn $56,490 and an automatic berth in the $500,000 Champion of Champions race Dec. 16.
