Who’s Laughing Now?
U.S. politicians and the news media delight in criticizing Asia for dictatorships, single-party political systems, human rights, etc., a la American style. Two of the most populous countries in Asia, Indonesia and the Philippines, have women presidents now. Asia can laugh at the U.S. civil rights/human rights, a la Asian style. Will the laugh last 100 years?
