Drivers, OCTA to Vote on 3-Year Labor Pact
From Times Staff Reports
After six months of discussions, negotiators for the Orange County Transportation Authority and its bus drivers have agreed on a three-year contract.
The drivers, represented by Teamsters Local 952, will vote on the agreement Tuesday. If it is approved, the OCTA directors will take up the contract at their Aug. 27 board meeting.
OCTA officials called the agreement their “last, best and final offer.” The pact addresses concessions the drivers made in their last contract, negotiated shortly after the county bankruptcy in 1994.
