The Sacramento Kings are getting contributions from different players almost every game.

Hedo Turkoglu came off the bench and scored a career-high 24 points to lead the Kings to a 109-106 overtime victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night at San Antonio.

Mike Bibby added 22 points, and Lawrence Funderburke a season-high 16 for Sacramento, which won its third consecutive. Peja Stojakovic, who came in averaging 24.3 points, was held to 11.

“Our guys have been playing with a new determination,” said Sacramento Coach Rick Adelman, whose team improved to 13-4 this season without injured all-star forward Chris Webber.

The Kings completed a sweep of their Texas road trip, with wins earlier this week against Houston and Dallas.

San Antonio, which fell to 7-1 at the Alamodome this season, was led by a season-high 38 points from Tim Duncan. Antonio Daniels added 14 points, while David Robinson, Steve Smith and Terry Porter scored 10 points each.

“It was a very physical game, a good game,” San Antonio Coach Gregg Popovich said. “Both teams went after each other in that sense. Down the stretch our execution was not as sharp as it should be. That hurt us down the stretch.”

Duncan’s bank shot gave San Antonio a two-point lead in overtime, but Sacramento answered with an 8-0 run to lead 105-99 on Bobby Jackson’s two free throws with 27.4 seconds to play.

Smith made a three-point basket to cut the lead to 105-102 with 25.4 remaining.

But it was as close as San Antonio could get as eight of Sacramento’s overtime points came at the free-throw line.

“He was terrific,” Adelman said of Turkoglu. “He’s played well the last two games. He really came in and got us going in the second half. He’s a young guy, but he is really mature for his age. He stepped it up big for us tonight.”
