Chris Dufresne’s Dec. 3 article lacks consistency. With his brand of logic, Colorado should be ranked over Nebraska because the Buffaloes beat the Cornhuskers on the day after Thanksgiving.
It just doesn’t add up. Please explain to me, then, why Colorado is ranked higher than Fresno State and Texas. They both beat Colorado. And shouldn’t Georgia be ranked above Tennessee? And your beloved Oregon Ducks should be behind Stanford (and only a point ahead of a struggling UCLA).
I admit Nebraska had a bad loss, but a loss is a loss whether it’s on national TV to Colorado or to a “powerhouse” like Fresno State.
I’m beginning to see the brilliance of the BCS system--it keeps biased journalists like you from crowning the national champs.
