Cal State Northridge (1-7, 0-1) at Idaho (2-7, 0-1), 7 --Northridge lost Thursday in a Big West opener at Utah State, 73-56. Markus Carr and Ian Boylan each had 16 points, but the Matadors were outrebounded, 48-31. Idaho has a new coach, Leonard Perry, a point guard for the Vandals in the early 1990s who is trying to turn around a team that went 6-21 last season.
