Bus Driver Sentenced in Student’s Death
A school bus driver who ran over and killed a teenage student was sentenced Friday to two years and eight months in state prison.
Irene Haley, 37, had pleaded no contest to gross vehicular manslaughter.
Brian Burdett was struck and killed after he got off the school bus and stopped to tie his shoes in Twentynine Palms on Feb. 7.
