SOUTHLAND ROUNDUP
Cal State Fullerton 63, Idaho 60--The Titans (4-20, 3-11) ended a losing streak at seven, won for the first time in 10 games at home and and took an important step toward earning a spot in the Big West Conference tournament.
The victory gave Fullerton a two-game sweep against Idaho (5-19, 2-11) and the tie-breaker advantage should the teams finish with the same conference record. Eight of nine teams advance to the Big West tournament.
Guard David Castleton made six of 10 shots and scored a season-high 16 points to lead Fullerton. Castleton, bothered by a shoulder injury recently, had scored only 31 points in his previous six games.
Ike Harmon had only four points, but had a team-high seven rebounds to move him into the fourth spot on the school’s career list at 625.
