Fire Damages Former ‘Merv Griffin’ Studio
A fire damaged an abandoned Hollywood studio Saturday from which “The Merv Griffin Show” was once broadcast.
The blaze, in which a 50-foot section of the roof collapsed, probably started on the first floor of the studio on North Vine Street.
The fire was reported at 9:36 a.m. About 75 firefighters had put out the blaze by 11 a.m., said Capt. Richard Andrade.
A male transient was treated for minor injuries and released.
