Marist Center Arraigned in Stabbing

Marist College center Marius Janisius, who said he was beaten by three men on campus earlier in the night, was arraigned Wednesday for allegedly stabbing a student at Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

Janisius, 23-year-old junior from Lithuania, was charged with one count of second-degree assault, a felony. Police said he stabbed the victim twice in the buttocks with steak knives at a campus apartment. The stabbing victim, whose name was withheld by police, was treated and released from St. Francis Hospital.
