Brush Fire Blackens 20 Acres; No Injuries
A brush fire burned 20 acres of land near Moorpark on Thursday afternoon, fire officials said. No one was injured, and no structures were damaged.
The fire started about 3:15 p.m. and was contained before 4 p.m., said Karen Nelson, dispatcher with the Ventura County Fire Department.
Although authorities do not know the cause, Nelson said children were seen running from the area near Nightsky Drive and Lexington Hills Lane. Officials are looking for the children to talk to them, she said.
