Two suspected bank robbers, including one dubbed the “Peach Fuzz Bandit,” remained in custody Wednesday after being accused of robbing a Wells Fargo Bank branch, authorities said.

Jose Ramon Ferrufino, 20, and Daniel Santiago Ramirez, 27, are suspected of robbing the bank in the 12900 block of Harbor Boulevard about 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Ferrufino allegedly handed a hold-up note to a female teller and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

Authorities believe Ferrufino is the “Peach Fuzz Bandit” suspected of robbing three banks in Anaheim over the past several weeks. FBI investigators named the robber for the slight beard he had at the time of the heists.

Ferrufino allegedly left the scene of the robbery Tuesday in a dark car police said was driven by Ramirez. The two men are roommates, authorities said.

Garden Grove police officers stopped a vehicle matching the description of the getaway car about 10 minutes after the robbery and arrested Ramirez. Ferrufino was arrested later at home.

Most of the stolen money was recovered along with evidence from the Garden Grove bank robbery, authorities said.
