SUPER BOWL DAILY REPORT

Jason Sehorn, Giant cornerback and amateur movie critic, says he burns time away from football by seeing “every movie there is to see. It is just relaxing to get in a theater. Nobody is around. It is dark. You just watch a movie for two hours and kind of vegetate on something else. You kind of escape everything else for just two hours.

“It is nice. Peaceful.”

Among current offerings, Sehorn said, “ ‘Thirteen Days’ was kind of cool. I couldn’t believe, not to date anybody here if you were here at the time, [but] I couldn’t believe reporters were kept in the dark like that. They allowed the whole country not to know anything [about the Cuban missile crisis], and that was a kind of cool movie.”

We’re Not In Pasadena Anymore, Toto: Giant running back Ron Dayne, assessing the Super Bowl atmosphere as an NFL rookie, said, “Well, you can’t really compare this to the Rose Bowl. It’s much bigger than the Rose Bowl. We haven’t even played yet and we’ve got this much media around. I guess it’s normal, but we haven’t won or even played in the game and there’s so much media.”

One other difference Dayne will notice come Sunday: Running against the Raven defense is not the same as running against UCLA.
