Resident Arrested in Alleged Kidnap
A Saugus man who allegedly kidnapped his 5-year-old daughter has been arrested in Florida, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said Thursday.
FBI agents arrested Terry Phillips, 46, in Orlando on Wednesday, said Sgt. Howard Fairchild of the Santa Clarita sheriff’s station. Fairchild also said that Phillips’ daughter, Taylor, who was with Phillips in Orlando, will soon be reunited with her mother, Suzanne Martin.
Phillips allegedly abducted Taylor in July after a court gave the mother full custody, Fairchild said. Investigators found Phillips after he applied for a job and was fingerprinted.
Phillips will be extradited to Los Angeles, where he will be booked on suspicion of child abduction, police said.
