Solidarity with Israel

Sixteen members of the Jewish Federation of Orange County recently returned from a weeklong solidarity mission in Israel. They took the trip with more than 900 people from 70 Jewish Federation communities across the country.

Sponsored by the United Jewish Communities, the mission was designed to “demonstrate concern, compassion and solidarity with Israel,” organizers say.

American Jews met with Israeli government and military officials, visited towns that had been under attack, and talked with residents. Two more trips are planned for February. For more information, call Bunnie Mauldin at (714) 755-5555, ext. 231.
